What a fun evening! The acting was outstanding--and having it performed in the living room of the Historic Pleasant Home was a stroke of genius.

This was a small and intimate venue. The actors expertly delivered the quick-witted banter of his or her character. It was laugh out loud funny at times.

The performance was delightful and the venue charming. Tea and cookies were served, during intermission, in the library...a nice treat! I would recommend the performance without hesistation, and if you can a tour of the mansion.

Great play. Very enjoyable and entertaining. The Pleasant Home setting was fabulous. Pleasant Home is a wonderful old Mansion in Oak Park. We were sitting 10 feet away from the players. Had dinner before at Poor Phil's, a great seafood restaurant a block away from Pleasant Home.

The intimacy and the grandeur of the venue was great. How often do you get to see a play in the dining room of a mansion? The tea and cookies at intermission were a nice touch. The acting was suprisingly good since we had never been to a production of the Oak Park Theatre Festival before. The play was a witty light-hearted farce, though longer than expected (ends after 10 pm). The only quibble is that the seats are jammed in closely and it can be hard to see if you're not in the front rows or in the first row on the platform.

My friend and I really enjoyed this performance. It was very well acted and in the perfect venue. Being in the living room of the historic Pleasant home mansion made it even better. They even served free tea and cookies at the intermission in the library. I would definitely recommend it, even to people who have to come from downtown.

What a unique place to stage Blithe Spirit. A well acted comedy. The chance to see some of Pleasant House. Easy to find on-street parking. Lots of great places to eat nearby.
