Small, intimate event. Not as overwhelming as some of the other bridal shows, but the tradeoff is that you only get to meet one vendor per category (i.e. photographers, florists, etc...). It's a good, event to attend if you're just getting started in the planning process.

This was the first Bridal event my fiance and I went to that not only had vendors but also had workshops. We felt the workshops were even more important to us since we also had a lot of our own vendors already picked. With that being said, should we have needed more vendors, it would have been great to have more from each category. If felt like there was one make-up, event planning, DJ, Photographer, Music, Food, Bakery, and so forth. The workshops was the biggest reason for us to attend this event.

My fiancee and I really liked the Simply Elegant Wedding Showcase. While it was MUCH smaller than any other bridal/wedding show we'd attended, we did enjoy the vendors we spoke to and may have even found our caterer! Unlike other events, the Simply Elegant show only showcases one vendor from each of the different categories for weddings. For example, there was one DJ company there, along with only one caterer (Fig, which was EXCELLENT), one makeup/hair dressing vendor, one photo/video vendor and so on (you get the point). This allowed for much more intimate conversations and one-on-one attention, which we enjoyed. I think I spent probably 40 minutes talking to the caterer (and enjoying treats at her display table), and also talked a while to a few others. So all in all we thoroughly enjoyed the event and the location.
