Based on the memoirs of the famed burlesque performer Gypsy Rose Lee, Gypsy chronicles the rise of young Louise as she is thrust into stardom by her overbearing stage mother, Mama Rose. With book by Arthur Laurents, music by Jule Styne and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, the show contains such hits as "Everything's Coming Up Roses," "Let me Entertain You" and "Together Wherever We Go." Lauded by critics as one of the greatest musicals of all time, Gypsy stars Klea Blackhurst as Mama Rose.

Lively, Heartwarming Musical Oliver! at Drury Lane Theatre

Full Price:
$35.00 - $49.00
Our Price:
$17.50 - $24.50

Based on Dickens' beloved character from the novel Oliver Twist, this boisterous musical follows young orphan Oliver from the dreary surroundings of a workhouse to the streets of Victorian London, where he unwittingly falls in with a gang of pickpockets. Featuring memorable songs like "Food, Glorious Food," "Consider Yourself," "Where Is Love?" and "As Long as He Needs Me," the endearing tale tackles relatable themes: the search for love, the triumph of right over wrong, the hope for a better world, and the belief that life is worth living. Oliver! premiered in London's West End in 1960, debuted on Broadway in 1963, and was made into a musical film in 1968. Learn More

I love musicals but this wasn't my favorite. It was well done, I simply didn't care for it as much as others I've seen. But I always love coming to the Drury Lane Theater to see a show - it's a beautiful theater with terrific productions. Every seat is good, and it's nice to be able to get a drink/food before the show and during intermission.

I was a very good production. Rose stole the show with a powerful performance. The seats were good and it was an excellent musical theatre. I am glad we went.

The music performances were very strong especially Mama. It's always enjoyable when the songs are familiar. The set was a bit disappointing but did not takeaway from a fun evening
