As a newcomer to the Bay area, this was my first A's game and at this rate, will likely be my last!! After getting a good deal on tickets from Goldstar, I was incredibly unhappy to find out that b/c there was a concert also going on at the same time, I was charged $30 for parking, which was more than the tickets themselves! (We were told if we came earlier it would have only been $17). Had I known this, I would not have parked at the stadium. Additionally, two other people that parked near us told us that they let the parking attendant know they were going to the game, not the concert, and they got in for free!! Then, at the game, there were thousands of open seats...we sat in our section but in the front row rather than row 5 where our seats were b/c a majority of the section was open. An attendant came over and actually checked our seats and asked us to move. For a crowded game or if we were sitting in a decent section (not the outfield behind the foul pole which is where our tickets were), I could see him being a stickler, but for a team that struggles for attendance, it was a put-off. All told, I can now check this stadium off my list and won't be returning anytime soon!
