As one might expect from Disney, this was a very well-polished, kid-friendly production, following Mickey and the gang as they look at all different kids of celebrations, from birthdays to summer vacations to Halloween to Christmas. All kinds of fun, plenty engaging, and technically brilliant. My only issue with the show itself was the intermission. It was clearly necessary as there were some bigger set changes that needed time to happen as well as the ice needing resurfacing, but this intermission was 25 minutes! We've got thousands of kids waiting for Mickey to come back and they're expected to sit patiently for 25 minutes? Really? But really, in the bigger picture of the evening, not that big of a deal.
Here's where it loses a star: Secondary costs. We took public transit to the event and thank God we did, because upon arrival we found out that parking for this event was $25! That can't be legal, can it? Also, souvenirs and snacks, of course all Disney-produced, were ridiculous. Cotton candy (which also included a super crappy mouse ear hat) was $10. A snowcone in a collectible cup, $12-15. A spinny light toy, $12-18. And there's no way you can avoid walking by the areas where these are sold. And if you were somehow able to magically plop yourself into the venue w/o acquiring this swag on the way to your seats, they're gonna walk it by you 30-40 times in the 20 minutes you're in your seat waiting for the show to start. I know you don't HAVE to buy the stuff, but part of going to these types of events is getting a little treat/toy or something. Suffice to say, it's a good thing we got cheap tickets (THANK YOU GOLDSTAR!) because we spent more on crap at the show then we did on tickets for the show itself.
So be careful, gang. The show is fun and cute, but nothing spectacular, and you won't be able to get so much as water for you and your family for less than $20. If you can manage to escape the monetary death grip of "The Mouse", than you'll be in for a wonderful night of family fun without breaking the bank.

I took two kids, 1 year old and 3 years old and they loved it. It was a little random for the adults, not a "story" just various characters coming out and skating, but the 3 year old enjoyed seeing all the characters "come to life" from the...continued

It was fun. A little random at times (they did 2 numbers to non-disney pop songs by unknown girl bands).
Biggest disappointment: The souvenirs. Very little to choose from and pretty awful selection. No sweatshirts or anything! I really wanted...continued
