The word "legend" gets used a lot when referring to actors, singers, athletes and the like. But this is an event that demands we use that term. Because not only is there a true legend of show business appearing at this show, there are two of them. Carol Channing and Tommy Tune, two of the most talented and celebrated artists in the history of Broadway theater, will join together on one stage to share their stories and memories of a lifetime in entertainment. Time Steppin', which does not include performances, features a talk between the two show-business veterans, who have known each other for decades. Learn More

We've gone to all of the Woodminster shows both this season and last season, and we thought that they were all beautifully acted and staged. We've also loved the costumes, the dancing, and the orchestra. However, in the case of the Flower Drum Song, we didn't like the score as much as we liked the scores of the other musicals we've seen at Woodminster.

Unlike many other outdoor theater venues, there are seats, but they are not padded. Some people bring a cushion or blanket to sit on. We strongly suggest that you bring a flashlight for after the show, as it is a park setting without street lights.
Coffee, hot chocolate, soft drinks, hot dogs, candy, popcorn, and cookies, and more are available for purchase.
You may also bring your own refreshments. There is no restriction on bringing food or beverages into the amphitheater.
The area can get chilly at night, so jackets and blankets are recommended.
Picnic tables are available throughout the park on a first-come, first-served basis, or groups can reserve picnic areas through the Oakland Parks & Recreation Department.
