Our seats were great and it was a nice day for baseball. Unfortunately, the day belonged to the Giants, who smoked the A's for 8.5 innings. The 5 run rally in the bottom of the 9th was great, and the 10-6 final score looked better than the actual events that transpired. Hopefully when the regular season starts, we'll see better luck for the A's.Written on Apr 05 2010

Great game on a beautiful Oakland afternoon. Witnessed Sanchez outpitch Gonsales for the win. Watched in awe as the Giant's Kung fu Panda, Sandoval hit two homers for 5 RBI's and saw the A's score 5 unearned runs in the 9th. A fun game and terrific seats. A fitting prelude to the 2010 season. The seats were good, but under an overhang, and it was freezing! Fortunately, someone told us we could exchange our tickets- so we went up a ramp and found the A's ticket place, told them we wanted to be in the sun- and no problem- we got front row field seats- for no extra cost!! The ninth inning of the game was great for an A's fan! I'd definitely use Goldstar again- although I wish there weren't so many surcharges added on to the half price I paid.Written on Apr 05 2010

Description
It's a Bay Area battle as the Oakland Athletics host the San Francisco Giants in pre-season baseball. The Athletics' roster this season features several young players, plus former Padres third baseman Kevin Kouzmanoff. The Giants are led by power hitter Pablo Sandoval and one of baseball's best pitching staffs.
There is also a free pregame tailgate party in Parking Lot A of the Coliseum. This includes Q&A sessions, autograph sessions, and photos with former A's players. Present and former players and coaches will be on hand at the tailgate. Parking gates open at 9:00am.
