Great seats on a beautiful day for baseball.

Don't listen to the people who would try to make you believe that the Oakland Coliseum is not a good place to watch a baseball game.

The stadium was completely refurbished in 1996 to accomodate the return of the Raiders. Yes, it now sports the ugly "Mt. Davis," but it now also features the West Side Club, with a restaurant featuring multiple high-def television screens and some fabulous views of the park to be had while sitting at real tables.

The seats provided by Goldstar offered a great view of the infield, and while the crowd in attendance (12,464) was low, that meant no waiting in line for the great variety of food & drink available here.

I've been an Athletics fan since my father brought me to their first game here in 1968. I've been fortunate to witness World Series and AL championship victories here over 3 decades -- so I don't want to hear about how this stadium is a bad place to watch baseball.

If you want to watch a game surrounded by trendy people who have no interest in the game, would rather be talking on their cellphones and telling their friends that they're on TV go to ATT park across the bay.

How many championships have the Giants won since 1958? ZERO! The A's have 4 since 1968 (one over the Giants!)

Go A's. Thanks Goldstar for a great baseball experience!

Awesome Day! Awesome game! Unbelievable catch by Rajai Davis...makes up for the one he blew in last Saturdays game! It's so nice to see the A's winning! DH Chavez for Cust...what a huge mistake...he's batting only 157...lowest of anybody on the team!
