I thought this show was decent, with good music and acting. The seat arrangement was ideal.
Wonderful evenings entertainment. GREAT musical ability by each person on stage. Of course if you know the music it's even more enjoyable....BUT, if you don't then GO! and learn what a talented person "Fats" was.

I have seen this show before and was disappointed by this presentation. I attended the opening performance and the mikeing was bad, sound dropped in and out during the first half (I left at intermission). All songs as presented sounded alike. Singers were not great although they danced quite well and I did enjoy the dancing. Could not understand half the words. I love the music of Fats Waller and this was a real disappointment. Need a Fats who both sings and plays the piano to pull the illusion off. In this production, the heavy set singer who was supposed to be the Waller character didn't even pretend to sit down at the piano and play. It just didn't come off. Of the five goldstar events that I have seen so far, this was definitely the worst.
