One of the most-anticipated new plays of 2014, Colossal is a story of love, family and emotional and physical endurance. Structured like a football game, with four quarters, plus pre-game and halftime shows, it tells the story of Young Mike, a college football player who took a hit in a game that left him paralyzed from the waist down. Throughout the course of the play, he remembers the accident with the help of a live, nine-person football squad onstage. The play stars Michael Patrick Thornton, best known from his role on ABC's Grey's Anatomy spin-off, Private Practice. Learn More
The play is set up as a football game, including a pregame show. While the play doesn't start until 7:45, the doors open at 7:30, which is also when the pregame show starts. To be part of the whole experience of the play, I suggest arriving in time to walk through those doors at precisely 7:30.Colossal info • Sep 09 2014 star this tip starred

The singers and dancers performed well, but it was a distraction to have the actor who played the key role of KK Klub MC also play minor roles of porter, train conductor and others. It was also a mistake to make a grand piano the focal point of the opening scene with the MC only pretending to play it.
