In the audience favorite Forever Plaid, a male pop quartet is killed in a 1964 car crash and they've been stuck in limbo ever since. They return to Earth for one night only, to give a concert and fulfill their dream, filling the stage with hokey comedy, endearing personal revelations and tons of gorgeous close-harmony singing. Some of the songs include "Three Coins in the Fountain," "Sixteen Tons" and "Love is a Many Splendored Thing."

Overall it was enjoyable. At times a bit dull as several of the songs seemed to be very similar repetitive. However 3 or 4 numbers really stood out and were worth the price (Goldstar) of admission.

I haven not seen a musical in a while so I looked forward to attending this show. The musical was geared more towards music in the 1950's era, most of which I had never heard, but still enjoyed listening to it. Parts of the show had funny moments, but most of the show was just the guys singing. There was a storyline and I was able to follow it. There was also a little piece of crowd interaction as well. Overall, I enjoyed the performance.

Description

Before the Jonas Brothers or the Backstreet Boys, there were four guys destined to harmonize their way to greatness: Sparky, Smudge, Jinx, and Frankie. The “flipside” of the 1950s rock 'n' roll revolution, these boys represented innocence and traditional family values. While en route to picking up plaid tuxedos for their first real gig, a freak accident ended their promising careers too soon. Join Olney as Forever Plaid is miraculously revived to perform the show that never was, including the hit songs "Three Coins in the Fountain," "Sixteen Tons," and "Love is a Many Splendored Thing."
