From Letterman to America's Got Talent, ventriloquist and clean-humor comedian Kevin Johnson has been wowing audiences for decades with his unique vocal talents. With believable characters like Clyde the vulture and Matilda the cockatoo on his arm, Johnson yodels, tells jokes and banters among their distinct personalities -- all without moving his lips, mouth or neck. As one of the world's top 10 ventriloquists, Johnson's act has earned him accolades from tough judge Simon Cowell as well as the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions, who twice honored him as Best Male Performer of the year for his work at San Diego's Legoland California resort. A must see. Mark Curry was hilarious! I went with my husband, sister, brother-in-law and my parents. They enjoyed it and especially the fact that with Goldstar, we got a discount and the people around us had the same view as we did and some paid full price. Thank you for the service. I love a good discount.
Perhaps best known for starring in his own hit television sitcom “Hangin’ With Mr. Cooper,” which ran for five seasons on ABC, and for hosting “Showtime At The Apollo,” comedian, actor, host Mark Curry is packing the laughs as one of the top national touring comedy acts.
In addition to his stand-up performances, Mark recently appeared opposite Kirstie Alley in a recurring role on Showtime’s “Fat Actress.” Mark also put his golden touch on BET’s comedy talent search show “Coming to the Stage.” With Mark as the host, this series became the network’s number one show. Mark also spent time working as an NBA correspondent for “ESPN’s Cold Pizza” and performed stand up specials which can regularly be seen on HBO and Comedy Central.
Mark has countless other television & film credits, including: his own Comedy Central stand-up comedy special, three years of hosting duties on “Showtime at the Apollo,” and starring in the feature “The Fanatics.”
Mark grew up in Oakland, California. He still spends much of his time there, performing to sold-out crowds and encouraging students to stay off drugs and follow their dreams.
