Written on Jun 18 2012Charlie Murphy was off the hook. I loved the ribbon and how Charlie tied the show in a nice bow at the end. Even better... when he would have to stop because just before telling the joke in his head he would be craking his own self up... just too funny. Loved Mr. Murphy would see him anytime anywhere! Great show and a nice venue.

Description
Charlie Murphy's rapid evolution from "Eddie Murphy's brother/bodyguard" and "Chappelle's Show" cast member to top-billed international comedian, playing to sold-out audiences around the globe, has been remarkable. He has spent the past seven years performing his critically acclaimed stand-up and solidifying his position in Hollywood as a true acting talent in his own right.
In 2004, he embarked on the national "I'm Rich Bitch" comedy tour, featuring fellow "Chappelle's Show" cast members Bill Burr and Donnell Rawlings. "Charlie Murphy and Friends" and a co-headlining tour with Mike Epps followed. More recently, Murphy co-headlined on the 20-city "Maxim/Bud Light Real Men of Comedy Tour" with Joe Rogan and John Heffron.
Charlie has worked with top Hollywood talent such as Denzel Washington, Halle Berry, Eddie Murphy, Danny Aiello, Terrance Howard, Gabrielle Union, Queen Latifah, Vanessa Williams, Rip Torn, Peter Falk, Forest Whitaker, Carlos Mencia, Redd Fox, Angela Bassett, Wesley Snipes, Jamie Foxx, Samuel Jackson and Sammy Davis, Jr. Recent film projects include Family Wedding with Forest Whitaker, America Ferrara and Carlos Mencia, The Cookout 2 with Faizon Love and Lottery Ticket with Bow Wow. Other feature films have included: A Perfect Holiday, Kings Ransom, Roll Bounce, Chris Rock's classic hip-hop parody CB4, Spike Lee's Jungle Fever and Mo' Betta Blues, Eddie Murphy's Harlem Nights and Vampire in Brooklyn, on which Charlie was also credited as a writer.
Murphy's most recent film writing endeavor, Norbit, opened at #1 at the box office in 2007. Additional writing credits include a remake of The Incredible Shrinking Man and Paper Soldiers for Jay-Z's Rockafella Films and Tales of the Dogg, an animated pilot for Snoop Dogg and MTV. Other recent projects include BET's controversial We Gotta Do Better, and films such as Bar Starz, Unearthed, Night at the Museum, Twisted Fortune and The Hustle.
In 2009, Charlie wrote, produced, and starred in a series of webisodes for Sony Entertainment's Crackle.com and also starred in a multi-media advertising campaign for Nike's Air Jordan brand, in which Charlie portrayed long time Jordan nemesis/inspiration, Leroy Smith. His autobiographical book entitled The Making of a Stand Up Guy, was published by Simon and Schuster, and hit stores in December 2009.
His first live stand-up special and DVD, Charlie Murphy: I Will Not Apologize debuted on Comedy Central and was released in stores by Image Entertainment in February 2010.
2011 is shaping up to be another banner year for Mr. Murphy with his second DVD, "Charlie Murphy's Acid Trip" already in pre-production, and several episodes of TBS's hit show "Are We There Yet?" already in the can. Charlie is also currently writing another film with his brother Eddie Murphy. The two co-wrote the 2006 hit, Norbit.
