We enjoyed ourselves at this silly farce and were glad we went for the sometimes slapstick shenanigans being portrayed. The actors did a good job for community theater and we were blessed with an almost balmy evening, altho it can get quite chilly some evenings in this outdoor little amphitheater, so be prepared.

Orinda amphitheater has a pleasant atmosphere, although one must be prepared for cold weather.

The wealthy Argan is a housebound hypochondriac with every disease in the book. Lurking around are quacks only too happy to (mis)treat him. Family troubles, including a money-grubbing wife and two headstrong daughters, add to Argan’s miseries.
