One of the world's foremost dance companies, New York City Ballet performs a pair of programs accompanied by the New York City Ballet Orchestra. The first program is a mixed repertory performance, featuring works by contemporary choreographers, and the second showcases George Balanchine's full-length masterpiece Jewels. The repertory night features a trio of works, including Christopher Wheeldon's Soirée Musicale's, Justin Peck's Year of the Rabbit and Alexei Ratmansky's Namouna, A Grand Divertissement. Balanchine's Jewels, inspired by the artistry of jewelry designer Claude Arpels, unfolds in three distinct sections -- Emeralds, Rubies and Diamonds -- each with its own music and mood. Learn More

I took my mother who is 81 and has been in an assisted living for several years now. for various reasons she has not been able to get away too far from the home and then mostly only to doctor's offices. She loved the show! I have seen similar "Cirques" They are not all the same, in fact they are all different! If you have not been? You need to go at least once!
Young Zoé is bored; her parents, distant and apathetic, ignore her. Her life has lost all meaning. Seeking to fill the void of her existence, she slides into an imaginary world -- the world of Quidam -- where she meets characters who encourage her to free her soul.
Quidam: a nameless passer-by, a solitary figure lingering on a street corner, a person rushing past and swallowed by the crowd. It could be anyone, anybody. Someone coming or going at the heart of our anonymous society. A member of the crowd, one of the silent majority. The one who cries out, sings and dreams within us all. This is the “quidam” whom this show allows to speak. This is the place that beckons -- a place for dreaming and genuine relations where all quidams, by proclaiming their individuality, can finally emerge from anonymity.
