When Handel composed his setting of Zadok the Priest for the coronation of King George II in 1727, he had no idea that it would end up being performed at every English coronation since. PBO features the Philharmonia Chorale in this work, Handel's Dettingen Te Deum (written to commemorate a 1743 battle), as well as in beloved anthems written for the English Chapel Royal by Henry Purcell.
