No topic is taboo for Ryan Stout, whose clean-cut look belies his nature to delve into morally repugnant subject matter with smart and sterile objectivity for big laughs. Using exaggerated honesty, delightful insincerity and mock self-righteousness, Stout's wickedly dark material appeals to everyone's sense of logic. Make no mistake, Stout will talk about rape and abortion, but to keep things on an intellectual level, he'll do his best not to curse. A veteran of Chelsea Lately and various MTV shows, Stout will take you into a dark corner ... and make you laugh out loud. Learn More

I've been here a few times and so far it's always excellent. I was skeptical this time around because the headliner goes by the nickname "Mudflap." I don't know about you, but I live in SoCal and could not give a damn about Nascar so I was worried that I'd be groaning the whole time. And at, like, $8 a pop for drinks (2 minimum) it would be pretty expensive to get drunk enough to enjoy that.Written on Apr 05 2010
Well it turned out to be a lot better than I expected...excellent, in fact. The warmup guys were great and the headliner was downright hilarious. Not bad for a hokey okie.
We got there about 20 minutes after the listed start time. Missed the first 1 or 2 warmup guys I think (we only saw one). Seating was fine though, we got seated in a small booth sorta thing on the side, which was good for cozying up and copping some feels in the dark.
Over all _highly_ recommended. If you want some cheap drinks before or after, check out Hamburger Hamlet on Lake & Cordova. Not exactly the hippest place to hang out, but on Friday & Saturday nights girls drink for $1 and guys drinks are half off. Get the party started early on Saturday morning where they have FREE UNLIMITED MIMOSAS at brunch (which I suspect won't last for long. They upped the price of `breakfast meals by about $2 after the first week I was there...and still lost $$ on me, I'm sure :)

My boyfriend and I brought my parents who were were visiting from Chicago, and we had a really good time. They enjoyed seeing the photos on the walls of the famous comedians who have also performed at the venue. Most of the acts we saw were pretty funny. I would go again, but only with 1/2 price tickets.Written on Oct 12 2010

Mark Pitta is hilarious! It was a great show and we had good seats!Written on Jan 10 2009
The Ice House waitress staff is very pushy about enforcing the 2 drink minimum. Order two drinks the second you sit down. If you don't, they will hassle you every 2 minutes about the drink requirement and you won't be able to enjoy the show.
The overpriced drinks we bought from the bar didn't count toward the drink requirement.

Description
August 8, 2010: Rob Little and Dennis Blair
Having established himself as one of the funniest, most progressive, new comedians in the country, it’s easy to understand why entertainment bookers call Rob Little "The future of comedy, with more contagious energy than the Energizer Bunny." A sketch comedy player on the Fox Sports Net Show, The Best Damn Sports Show Period and Last Call with Carson Daly, Rob has appeared in national television commercials and on such shows as Strictly Sex with Dr. Drew, Comedy Central’s Distraction, Fox News and SiTV’s Latino Laugh Festival. He also earned a role on the CBS network summer hit series, Fire Me Please. Rob’s recently released comedy DVD/CD, Haulin’ Ass, is another testament to his talent and status as a comedic force.
Rodney Dangerfield protégé, Emmy award winner and the man whom George Carlin declared is “the only person in the world who can make me belly-laugh”, Dennis Blair is best known for the caustic observations and musical satire that make up his live comedy performances. With his guitar, a plethora of voices and characters, and a slightly depraved sense of humor, Dennis impressed Rodney Dangerfield enough that he took the budding comic under his wing and they toured the U.S. and Canada for over three years. In addition to touring, Dennis and Dangerfield collaborated on numerous projects, including the film Easy Money, which Blair conceived of and co-wrote. Blair’s TV appearances include Politically Incorrect with Bill Maher and the Drew Carey Show. He has performed on The Tonight Show and HBO.
August 15, 2010: John Fox
Coined “the Nick Nolte of Comedy”, John Fox takes audiences to places they never thought they'd be - from a pornographic 3D movie to the perils of being a parent and then having a part time job at Disneyland portraying "Goofy”. Variety magazine described his appeal as; "He's sort of like the wacked-out, weirded-out, next door neighbor who drops by to borrow a beer and you can't get rid of him type. Everyone has a friend like this. You just can't help liking him." John’s television appearances include Showtime’s Laff-A-Thon, A&E’s Comedy on the Road, Make Me Laugh, Comic Strip Live, The Merv Griffin Show and much, much more. He is one of the Bob and Tom Show’s favorite acts.
August 19, 2010: Willie Barcena
Willie Barcena’s street-smart wit along with his mother's "just use common sense, dummy!" attitude impressed Jay Leno enough to bring Willie back for ten appearances on The Tonight Show, as well as an invitation to perform for the troops in Afghanistan. Other numerous TV appearances include Moesha, The Wayans Brothers, and hosting the popular Si-TV production Latino Laugh Festival - The Show. He has also made multiple appearances on tours such as Que Locos, Latino Laugh Festival, Montreal's Just for Laughs, and Crown Royal Latin All Stars Comedy Explosion.
In addition to performing, Willie writes on a regular basis. He performed in and wrote a one-man show called Cry Like a Man. This highly acclaimed performance demonstrates the struggle of a blue-collar comic in today's society.
Never one to shy away from a challenge, he just completed a two-year run with The Morning Show on KSFM 102.5, Sacramento. During that time, The Morning Show shot to the number one spot in a highly competitive market. Most recently, Willie’s one-hour Comedy Central special debuted to rave reviews.
August 20, 2010: Bob Zany
West Covina native Bob Zany is wry, sarcastic, insulting, lovable, and well ... zany! The critics rave about Zany’s unmatchable skill of working an audience. Known to many as “The Insult Comic,” he has the temerity to hit his audience without a pre-set joke list or any clear idea at all of what's going to happen. He’s been on more than 100 national television shows including The Drew Carey Show, Rodney Dangerfield's HBO Special, The Jerry Lewis Telethon, Roseanne, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Showtime, MTV, VH-1 and A&E. His “Zany Report” is currently featured weekly on the nationally syndicated radio program The Bob and Tom Show.
August 26, 2010: Gerry Bednob and John DiResta
A self-described "class clown" in school, Trinidad born comic of East Indian heritage, Gerry Bednob was the first first-time comic to open a late night show when he appeared on The Merv Griffin Show. He made appearances on The Wonder Years and Encino Man before winning the 1993 Star Search International Stand-Up Competition. It was as a comic where he met writer/director Judd Apatow, who cast him as Mr. Burundi on the FOX television show, Undeclared. This relationship led to Gerry's breakthrough role as Mooj in the smash hit, The 40 Year-Old Virgin. He would follow up on these successes with numerous roles in film and TV including Witless Protection with Larry the Cable Guy and Walk Hard with John C. Reilly.
A former New York City transit cop, John DiResta started his comedy career in the bowels of the New York comedy circuit. Five years later his one-man show, BEAT: A Subway Cop's Comedy, opened to rave reviews. The New York Times called him "Uproarious!" Since then, John has appeared on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, the Howard Stern Show, and has starred in his own sitcom, titled DiResta, as well as Trash to Cash on FX, American Body Shop on Comedy Central and Hammered on HGTV. Movie work includes Miss Congeniality, Fifteen Minutes with Robert DeNiro and How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.
He headlines all over the world doing big live stand up events from Montauk Point to Hong Kong and many points in between. After leaving a live John DiResta comedy event most people have the same comment “...my face hurts from laughing.”
August 29 and September 19, 2010: Hypnotist Mark Sweet
A certified clinical hypnotherapist, Mark Sweet is the man that can help you "Focus the Power." With his blend of hypnosis and comedy, Sweet pulls seemingly ordinary people from the audience and makes them capable of doing extraordinary things by tapping into the subconscious mind. He has been seen on "Access Hollywood", “The Today Show” and CNN and has been featured in The New York Times. He has warmed-up studio audiences in "Reba", "Yes, Dear," "According to Jim,” “Less Than Perfect” and "Two and a Half Men".
September 3, 2010: Jeff Burghart
What do an LA store clerk, a Wisconsin dairy farmer, and a Spanish Rodney Dangerfield have in common? They all reside in Jeff Burghart's head. The Texas native’s keen wit, with his signature blend of characters and impressions, keep the audience guessing as to what he’ll do (or who he’ll be) from one moment to the next. Jeff’s most potent voice, however, is his own. Proclaimed by Jerry Lewis as one of the “craziest people” he’s ever met, Jeff’s energetic style and acerbic lampooning of life’s lunacy make him truly unique. His television appearances include Comedy Central, BET and the MDA Telethon.
September 12, 2010: Mark Schiff and Glenn Wool
Jerry Seinfeld called Mark Schiff “one of the funniest, the brightest, the best stage comics” he has ever seen. Mark has headlined in all the major casinos and clubs across the country and has appeared many times on both The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Late Night with David Letterman. He has had both HBO and Showtime specials, and has been the featured act at the Montreal Comedy Festival. He has also appeared live with Jay Leno and has been touring with Jerry Seinfeld for the last seven years.Perhaps Mark's greatest gift besides being hysterical is his ability to stay current without resorting to foul language that is so rampant today. After each show, people always say to Mark "it's refreshing to see someone that does not have to resort to four letter words".
Glenn Wool began his comedy career in Vancouver in 1995. He moved to London in 1998 and quickly became an established star of the London comedy circuit where he continues to perform to sold out houses. His material veers between sagely political and gleefully silly. Glenn has appeared in 28 Acts in 28 Minutes for BBC Radio 4, contributed to BBC3’s The Comic side of Seven Days, BBC Stand Up Show, Live Floor Show, The World Stands Up and Comedy Blue for Paramount and starred in “What’s The Story?”, broadcast on Channel 4 as part of the Comedy Lab. This year Glenn will also release a new comedy album, Let Your Hands Go, for Stand Up! Records.”
