Union Station Homeless Services presents an evening of music that makes a difference. World-renowned musicians will perform big band music at the 11th Annual Evening for the Station. Proceeds from the concert support Union Station Homeless Services programs, the San Gabriel Valley's largest and most comprehensive social service agency assisting homeless adults and families. The evening's lineup includes the USC Big Band and jazz star Bob Mintzer.

Description

An Evening for the Station will feature a raffle and wish list opportunities, hors d'oeurves and incredible music from the USC Big Band and jazz star Bob Mintzer, renowned musician and member of the Grammy winning Yellowjackets. Additional special-guest performers will be announced soon.

Bob Mintzer is a household name in the jazz world. He is a renowned saxophonist, bass clarinetist, composer, arranger, leader of an award-winning big band, educator and member of the Grammy winning Yellowjackets. Bob is also a member of the USC faculty, where he is a professor and director of the USC Big Band. His diverse musical career includes recording with James Taylor, Aretha Franklin, Queen and Steve Winwood, and working with the New York Philharmonic and American Ballet Theatre. He has toured with Buddy Rich, Thad Jones, Mel Lewis, Jaco Pastorius, Tito Puente, and Eddie Palmieri.
