A truly legendary dancer, director, actor and choreographer, Gene Kelly is one of the most captivating performers the world has ever seen. But despite his enormous fame, he remained a rather enigmatic figure. Now Patricia Ward Kelly -- his widow, biographer and closest confidante -- presents a one-of-a-kind portrait of the innovative artist with film clips (both familiar and rare), previously unreleased audio recordings, personal memorabilia and, of course, her unique insight. Hailed by Variety as "deeply moving," this profoundly personal -- and yet also universal -- evening inspired Entertainment Tonight's Leonard Maltin to declare: "I felt privileged to be there." I'm sorry there are only 5 stars to award - this show was beyond my expectations. I felt I knew Zora Neale Hurston intimately after seeing Vanessa Bell Calloway portray her (and Vanessa could not have been more perfect in the role). It was simply riveting, evoking experiences from Ms. Hurston's life and making them real for the audience. The musicians were excellent as well. I didn't want it to end, I wanted to hear more of her life stories.
