Whose Line is it Anyway?'s Wayne Brady stars in legendary songwriter Cole Porter's riff on the Bard, Kiss Me, Kate. With favorite songs like "So in Love," "Another Op'nin,' Another Show," "Too Darn Hot" and "Brush Up Your Shakespeare," this behind-the-scenes tale of a feuding divorced couple's turbulent production of The Taming of the Shrew won multiple Tonys and was Porter's biggest hit on Broadway. Merle Dandridge (NBC's Chicago Fire) co-stars in this fresh take on the classic musical, which will showcase the trailblazing African-American actors and entertainers of the early 20th century. I'm sorry there are only 5 stars to award - this show was beyond my expectations. I felt I knew Zora Neale Hurston intimately after seeing Vanessa Bell Calloway portray her (and Vanessa could not have been more perfect in the role). It was simply riveting, evoking experiences from Ms. Hurston's life and making them real for the audience. The musicians were excellent as well. I didn't want it to end, I wanted to hear more of her life stories.

I really enjoyed Ms Bell-Calloway performance! She took on a very Dynamic personality and simply entertained the audience. At one point in the show her microphone went out, but she didn't miss a beat...and carried on!
