The symphony, subtitled "Fate", was first performed in 1808, and ever since the first time those four iconic opening notes were played, it's been a favorite of music fans around the world. Andrew Grams also conducts the Orchestra in Bruch's Violin Concerto, a Romantic masterwork known for its lyrical beauty and spectacular violin part, here played by Simone Porter.
