There is a nice cafe across the street from the Pasadena Convention Center. Nice to order a personal pizza, wrap or sandwich after a few hours of shopping. The Pasadena Antiques Mall is in the same center, so if you've anything left to spend, I'm sure you can find something here to get the rest of your budget.dining • Oct 28 2013 star this tip starred

I always spend more than I intend to when I go to the bead shows. It's a kid in the candy store kind of thing. Everything's so shiny and you want it all. And in my case, I always seem to gravitate to the more expensive stuff. And the booths that post their price breaks for buying more stuff always get the better, (or worst) of me. This show had me walking away from one of the vendors with 14# of pewter beads and charms. Other vendors were easier to pass up after that haul. And my back was tired from bending over all of the merchandise while carrying the bag of pewter. I walked away more than satisfied. The neat thing about these shows is that you can go to just browse the shiny stuff (if you're able to just look), and buy as much or as little as you want. My shopping list was short - just two items, but got buried at the bottom of my bag under all the pewter, and only resurfaced after everything had been taken out of my bag when I got it home. It said: clasps, gift box (for a piece I'd made). I bought neither.
