Hear one of the greatest symphonic works ever composed live in concert when the Pasadena Symphony Orchestra Plays Beethoven's Fifth Symphony. The symphony, subtitled "Fate", was first performed in 1808, and ever since the first time those four iconic opening notes were played, it's been a favorite of music fans around the world. Andrew Grams also conducts the Orchestra in Bruch's Violin Concerto, a Romantic masterwork known for its lyrical beauty and spectacular violin part, here played by Simone Porter. Pulitzer Prize-winning composer William Bolcom's Commedia for (Almost) 18th Century Orchestra opens the concert. Learn More

As usual, the Ambassador is the perfect venue. Handicapped parking is a small few steps from the entrance - no steps. They have added a refreshnent tent that is a few steps outside past the beautiful fountain. The acoustics are great anywhere and the pianist was exceptional and only 13 years old!
