What a fantastic concert! And the Caltech Auditorium was a perfect venue for both Rani Arbo and Pine Leaf Boys! Love the campus at Caltech! I want to go back and see some other events!! As usual, having gotten tix through Goldstar, walked up to the ticket booth, was immediately given my tix and walked right into the auditorium. I'm always given such "special treatment" when using your service. Keep up the great work!
The recently restored Beckman Auditorium is located at the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena. Although the auditorium seats over 1,000, the stage is small and low to the ground, creating a uniquely intimate atmosphere perfect for events ranging from lectures to recitals to drama.
Singer Rani Arbo and her group serve up a foot-stomping musical celebration of American roots fused with splashes of pop and jazz. Rich four-part harmonies, drum, fiddle, guitar, and bass create a jubilant mix of traditional, original, and contemporary sounds.
The Pine Leaf Boys bring youthful exuberance to their inimitable brand of traditional Cajun and Creole music. They bring a variety and energy to standards, as well as songs by past masters, all delivered with gusto. Skillful multi-instrumentalists, they often switch instruments during their effervescent show.
