This event is well done. It was informational as well as entertaining. The production could be improved by holding it in a more professional setting. The choreography, the visual and audio backgrounds were artistically strong but presented with poor technology. Hats off to all involved in creating and participating. Very - enjoyable !Written on Nov 10 2009

Description
The Brain in Motion is the latest full-length work by Artistic Director, Hilary Thomas, and her acclaimed
contemporary dance company, Lineage Dance. With original music composed for the piece by musician John Guth and cutting-edge visual images by Los Angeles-based artists, the dance moves effortlessly between the right and left brain, playing intuition off rational thinking and back again. The piece draws on the power of live theatre as actors Margee Magee and Angeli Millan weave facts and stories about the brain into the dance, posing questions that take us into the mystery of our common origins. Using movement as the lens to investigate what we know about how the brain works, evolves and changes, the viewer is drawn into a visceral experience of mind over matter.
The signature style of Lineage Dance, a powerful athleticism blended with a lyrical grace, forms the architecture of the dance work that asks questions, reveals answers and tells stories that connect us all to our origins.
