Some plays can be summed up in an image, others a phrase, but only one masterpiece can be summarized with a scream: "Stelllaaa!!!" That masterpiece, of course, is A Streetcar Named Desire, Tennessee Williams' Pulitzer-winning drama, which was famously adapted into a movie starring Marlon Brando and Vivien Leigh. Set during a steamy summer in New Orleans' French Quarter, a vulnerable Blanche DuBois seeks shelter at the apartment of her pregnant sister Stella and Stella's husband Stanley. Fragile Blanche and brutish Stanley immediately clash, and tensions only escalate when the two are left alone in the house after Stella heads to the hospital to give birth. Learn More

The venue is under construction, so its not fair to rate the venue. They did their best to keep us comfortable, but the A/C was out. I wasn't hot, they kept fans on us, but I could see that the poor actors were sweating their a.. off. The production itself was very funny, entertaining, and well put together. Worth the money I paid for...and a great date night with the husband (we both really enjoy the movie). There are only a few things I would fix, but they probably realized them, since we went on the first night of production: Elle almost had a wardrobe malfunction (wear a bra) when she is wearing the pink halter during the break up scene; during the scene with Emmit changing on stage, put some sheer curtains so the poor guy doesn't have to do so on stage; have Elle tone down the kissing scenes (no tongue is needed); and in the court scene have the ladies wear longer dresses or teach them to sit properly, the audience could see their panties. Overall, great experience! Like I said, these are minor things that didn't take away from the experience, but I did notice and I'm a bit critical. I would definitely recommend this!!!

The show was about 30 minutes late starting. Prior to that the Executive Director came out about 15 minutes after when the show was supposed to start to apologize for the delay and the reason for the delay. It seems there was "large group"...continued
