Nobel and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Eugene O'Neill's epic take on the Greek myth of Oresteia, Mourning Becomes Electra moves the timeless tragedy to post-Civil War New England. There, a wealthy mother and daughter clash in a quest for redemption as they battle against their family's apparent fate in a seemingly endless cycle of murder, adultery, incest and revenge. This Quintessence Theatre Group production includes all three parts of O'Neill's masterpiece, promising an epic and devastating theatrical experience. Learn More

Saw "Assistance" Friday nite at the Wilma Theatre. It's billed as "off Broadway," but it needs a lot more work to get to Broadway. It's worth seeing for the delightful young actors and for the look at the 20-somethings' culture. But
it needs a more defined narrative arc, and a reason to care about the central characters. Still, a fun evening !!
An Off-Broadway hit comedy in 2012, Assistance is the second offering in playwright Leslye Headland’s “Seven Deadly Sins” series – this time treating greed – and comes on the heels of Bachelorette, another hit and also a feature film release. The Wilma is thrilled to announce the return of director David Kennedy, who previously directed the Wilma’s 2011 success The Understudy.
