When Ruthe Ponturo's husband of 34 years left her for a younger woman, she didn't get mad, she got to singing. Ponturo wrote 26 songs for her cabaret-like comedy about a recently-divorced woman and her wickedly witty friends during her own divorce proceedings a few years ago. With titles like "Holidays Suck," "The Other Woman," and "Better Mad Than Sad," Ponturo and writing partner John Thomas Fischer manage to extract the humor from the heartache of divorce to create a show that anyone -- married or single, gay or straight -- can enjoy.
