Just in time for Valentine's Day, The Idiopathic Ridiculopathy Consortium presents Marriage by Nikolai Gogol, one of Russia's most heralded playwrights of the 19th century. In this poetic fractured fairy tale about the business side of marriage, a town matchmaker and a newly betrothed busybody match wits in a race to marry off a gun-shy suitor. Hilarious calamity ensues and it's anybody's guess as to whether the bride will actually make it to the altar. Tina Brock directs this seldom-performed romp in the company's intimate Studio 5.

Enjoyed the show. Would have preferred a little less exuberance from the actors, but I'm probably in the minority there. I recommend the play.Written on Feb 24 2012

About the Ticket Supplier: Idiopathic Ridiculopathy Consortium
The IRC's mission is to present and preserve classic and lesser-known works by authors from the loosely-defined "Theater of the Absurd"; to provide artistic opportunities to actors, directors and designers interested in exploring their craft through this uniquely theatrical form; to expose modern theater-going audiences to absurdism and to develop new audiences for this work.
