In this twisted new musical version of the holiday favorite A Christmas Carol, Mrs. Bob Cratchit takes center stage and doesn't put up with anything, be it goody-goody crippled kid Tiny Tim or any of her other 20 children. Oh yes, Mrs. Bob Cratchit's Wild Christmas Binge is not your ordinary Christmas story, as Dickens' tale of redemption and grace is turned inside out. Poor Mrs. Cratchit really wants to get drunk and jump off London Bridge, but she'll find her own salvation in this funny, rowdy production hosted by Bad Santa and one of his elves from the Land of Misfit Toys. Stay afterward for apple cider and a Christmas carol sing-along led by the cast.

American Sligo: Regional Premiere of Adam Rapp's play

Full Price:
$10.00 - $26.00

COMP - $13.00

New City Stage Company finishes up its seventh season with the regional premiere of American Sligo, Adam Rapp's play about the life of a professional wrestler. It's the story of Art "Crazy Train" Sligo and his quintessential working-class American family. On the eve of his final fight, the all-star wrestling legend, his two slacker sons, his colorful sister-in-law and his biggest fan sit down for a very unusual last supper. As the evening unwinds, a few unexpected guests arrive, sparks fly, and it appears to be downhill from there in the Sligo home. Rapp was a Pulitzer Prize finalist for his play Red Light Winter. This production is directed by Aaron Cromie and stars John Jezior as Art Sligo, along with Susanne Sulby as the sister-in-law, Aunt Bobbie. Learn More

I took my family to see this play. We all laughed and enjoyed the show. Great performance of all the actors.

This year we decided to do something different so we went to see this production which was a lot of fun. There were many funny references to other Christmas movies and while all of the actors were great, Scrooge, Tiny Tim and Bob Cratchit really had us all laughing. We would definitely come back here to see another show. Merry Christmas!

A delightful, insightful show of silliness, irony and a little political zinger for style. Cast delivered a knok out romp through the gist of Dicken's classic, singing and dancing and emoting. Oh it was fun. Thanks for this experience!

The show was hilarious, chocked full with holiday cheer and the acting was superb! It exceeded my expectations. The spin on The Christmas Carol took you inside of the mind and hearts of the characters in cynicism, greed, and disappear, but not leaving out the thankfulness and joy for the little things. Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
