Saddle up for a Wild West adventure with the best shot around: Annie Oakley. Supporting her siblings by selling the game she so skillfully hunts, Annie is discovered by Col. Buffalo Bill, who persuades her to join his Wild West show. In a heartbeat, she falls in love with the show's veteran sharpshooter, Frank Butler, and soon eclipses him as the show's main attraction. The jealous Butler eventually takes off to join a rival show, but is ultimately pitted against Annie in a final shootout. This rousing 1946 Broadway musical comedy features a book by Dorothy and Herbert Fields, and such classic Irving Berlin hits as "Anything You Can Do," "Doin' What Comes Natur'lly" and "There's No Business Like Show Business." About the Ticket Supplier: Phoenix Theatre
Phoenix Theatre, originally founded as the Phoenix Players in 1920, is the oldest arts organizations in Arizona and remains one of the oldest operating arts organizations in the country. Although the Phoenix Players performed in a variety of spaces including schools and backyards, there was an inevitable need for a permanent dedicated theatre space. In 1924 the Heard Family offered the newly named, Phoenix Little Theatre their old coach house on Central and McDowell.
