Our Price:
$25.00 - $69.00

Now in its 39th year, A Prairie Home Companion is a beloved throwback to old time radio shows and a time when the whole family would gather around the living room for a weekly visit with their favorite characters. Written and hosted by Garrison Keillor since it began production in 1974, A Prairie Home Companion is heard on over 600 public radio stations across the country. Every week, listeners (and the live studio audience) check in with the residents of the fictional idyllic town of Lake Wobegon. In between comedy skits, the show features folk music acts. A Prairie Home Companion was recently made into a feature film by director Robert Altman. This show will also feature special guests Lily Tomlin, Paula Poundstone, and Jearlyn and Jevetta Steele. I am Latina and married to a Filipino gentleman and while I was hoping not to get singled out, I did expect to hear more Filipino jokes. There weren't any really. The only thing that made this show "Flip" was that one of the comedians was part Filipino. I appreciated the humor from all the comedians in and of itself. We had a great time. We just thought it wouldn't primarily be Latino jokes.

The show was great - all the comics were very funny and the show was about 2 hours. The only complaint we have is the two drink minimum which I missed when buying the tickets. We don't drink and so ended up paying a lot for two cokes. The entrance was hard to find - several people besides us were walking around and around trying to figure out how to get in. Once we found it though, the place is cute and much nicer than expected. The staff were all very pleasant and attentive. We did have a good time and would go back again if it wasn't for the two drink minimum.

Sam has been featured on shows such as BET, Comic View, Coming to the Stage, Latino Laugh Festival and has performed in various competitions through the years; performing with headliners such as Tony Roberts, Anjelah Johnson, Ralphie May, Eddie Griffin and Kat Williams. Sam uses real life experiences to tell his story. Whether it’s happened to you, or you can only imagine it, Sam will tell it like it is. It wasn’t funny then, but it’s funny now!

Key Lewis
This California born native is a high energy, improvisational, storytelling, multiple-personality nutcase. Key's love for the people and hunger for the stage is his undying motivation. His comedic stories about his interracial childhood, family, and unusual views on relationships make Key a gut-busting joy to watch. His ability to improvise and interact with all types of crowds makes this up-and-coming comic and actor one to look out for. Has worked with the likes of Pablo Francisco, Alonzo Bodden, Gabriel Iglesias, Tommy Davidson and Katt Williams. His television credits include Bill Bellamy's Who Got Jokes on TVONE and BET'S One Mic Stand Hosted by Kevin Hart.

Anthony Padilla
Currently headlining The Young Guns of Comedy With Anthony Padilla every Thursday through Sunday in the King's Room at the world-famous Rio in Las Vegas. The show features a lineup of comedians on the verge of becoming household names, and you can say you saw them in Vegas before you saw them on the red carpet.

Jimmy Earll

Born in French Canada, Jimmy Earll is a Filipino-American with a backwoods, white boy name. Happily married to his college sweetheart, he is also a proud father of two sons. He is a busy professional and an active father, yet his love of comedy has never wavered. Jimmy Earll finds humor in life’s everyday occurrences.
