Choral ensemble the Carolyn Eynon Singers, joined by a jazz trio, present Jazz in the Key of Joy at Orangewood Presbyterian Church. You'll hear favorites from the masters of jazz, including George Gershwin, Duke Ellington, Cole Porter and Kirby Shaw, among many other beloved greats responsible for setting this distinctly American music genre ablaze. In addition, the you'll be treated to the world premiere of "Keep Tryin'" by the Carolyn Eynon Singers' own Michael Frassetti. The mission of the Carolyn Eynon Singers is to present live concerts of the choral works of American composers. Both singers and audience will benefit from the choral literature of styles ranging from sacred, classical and contemporary creations to other lighter material such as vocal jazz, standards, musical theater, patriotic and similar compositions. The Singers' artistic directors both have wide ranging background and experience in choral performance, vocal technique, programming diversity and conducting skills, all key elements to the choir's mission and success.
