9 to 5: The Musical tells the outrageously funny story of three female office workers who turn the tables on their sexist boss. When his abusive behavior becomes too much for them, these women take matters into their own hands, kidnapping him and running the office themselves. As they take charge, they find out there's nothing they can't do ... even in a man's world. This crowd-pleasing musical comedy -- based on the 1980 film starring Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin and Dolly Parton -- features music and lyrics by Parton and a book by Patricia Resnick, who also wrote the film. Parton's score was nominated for a Tony, and the titular theme song won two Grammys. Learn More

The production was more than worthy of respect. Not just because of the performers' energy and talents (both singing and acting), the directing prowess (especially with the varied and creative use of every ounce of the stage), the musicians skills (strong yet subtle blending), but also because of the embellishment of a clever and humorous history lesson. Being a male, accompanying my wife, I went out of respect, but in every respect the production superseded my expectations.

Wish I could give it 6 stars. The singing/acting talent was amazing. The songs selected were all familiar and guided you through the stages women have experienced. And the staging/directing made it so entertaining! I'm going to try to go again!
