I think the other church basement ladies shows were better written (this is what happens with a sequal - right?). I think the actors did the best job they could with the material.

Some of the songs sounded like one another (same theme, same melody). There were some very funny parts, 2nd half of show was more entertaining than the first half. If your Lutheran and/or from Minnesota you will like the show for sure, you betcha.

I went to this latest installment of Church Basement Ladies with 5 other women, most of whom have seen all the previous installments of Church Basement Ladies with me. We enjoyed this play very much and thought it was much more like the original play than the others. We were disappointed that one of the Church Basement Ladies cast (the one with the hot flashes) was replaced with the understudy for our performance and she was not as good as the original in both performance and singing. But overall we did enjoy the performance: the acting, singing, the storyline were all what we expected. And with the holidays so close and all of us overstressed this time of the year, we needed the comedy outlet the Church Basement Ladies provided very well.

Five of us attended from various religious denominations and we laughed until we had tears running down our cheeks because we could relate to the humor and their rendition of how life was like in the 1960's. The troupe had high energy and good pacing. The script was delightful. I wish I could be that creative. "A good time was had by all!"

Having the original cast intact was great. As usual Mrs. Snustad stole the show. We really ejoyed!
