The world-renowned Stephen Petronio Company teams with composer Son Lux and Portland's Pacific Youth Choir for the choreographer's newest work, Like Lazarus Did. Drawing inspiration from American slave songs to explore themes of transformation and rebirth, Petronio's latest is "fresh and unpredictable ... infused with emotional texture and wit" (The New York Times). Integral to the piece is the original score by NPR's "Best New Artist" of 2008, Son Lux. The work also features a hanging sculptural installation by celebrated visual artist Janine Antoni. Learn More

Quotes & Highlights
- "<em>Alice and Wonderland: A Rock Opera</em>...departs from the Lewis Carroll story as we know it, and tumbles down the rabbit hole with acoustic fervor, a riot of color and a decidedly psychedelic twist.” --<em>The Oregonian </em>
If you like Glee, you will love this show. It’s pure musical theatre joy from start to finish. The vocabulary is rock and roll. The landscape is imagination. A 1970s rock opera classic revived and making its west coast debut. Reminiscent of Broadway favorites like Hair and The Wiz, this one-act family version will rock your socks off.
