Canada's most iconic cowboy storyteller and songwriter Ian Tyson makes a rare Portland appearance with this Alberta Rose Theatre show. Perhaps best known in the U.S. for his hit song "Four Strong Winds," which was voted Canada's No. 1 song of the 20th century and made world-famous by Neil Young, Tyson turned 80 in September 2013, but his energy remains undimmed. Since 2000, he's released five albums, filmed a music documentary, penned a bestselling autobiography -- all while taking care of his working ranch in southern Alberta. Join this legendary singer-songwriter as he reflects on a five-decade musical career that's produced some of the most beloved cowboy songs of the modern era. Learn More

The concert was alternatively quite funny, heart aching and a delicious joy. McCutchen is a folk composer, singer and musician of great depth.
I left the theatre with a full and totally sated feeling because of McCutchen's ability to make each heart string resonate. Great Concert!
