Liv Warfield has one of the most promising voices in alternative R&B soul today. She has paid her dues alongside legendary artists such as Prince, B.B. King, The Roots, Dave Matthews Band, and Floetry. Her alternative R&B soul-style is inspired by her musical heroines: Nina Simone, Tina Turner, Sade and Mary J. Blige. “My strongest connection musically is with Sade and Tina Turner, there is a truth and power behind there voices and a rawness that resonates in me.” Many assume that Warfield grew up performing on stage or in a church choir; but, her musical career just got started seven years ago singing. However, her faith is strong, “God has blessed me in such a short period of time to make the kind of progress that I’ve made. He has given me a talent that I need to share with people and that’s what I’m doing.” Liv speaks the truth, she has been featured in her own BET special J&R Presents Liv Warfield; had her single “I Decided” chart the Billboard at No. 71 and also showcased on the _Michael Baisden Show _and now currently singing alongside Prince. Also slated for this year is a follow up to her highly acclaimed CD Embrace Me.
