Spring Awakening, the winner of eight Tony Awards, including Best Musical, features, according to Entertainment Weekly, "the most gorgeous Broadway score this decade." This lush musical explores the rocky journey from adolescence to adulthood with unforgettable poignancy and passion. Based on the 1871 Expressionist play that caused a scandal in 19th-century Germany, this bold musical, with its acclaimed rock score by Duncan Sheik and Steven Sater, follows a group of teenagers as they navigate the murky waters of morality and their budding sexuality. It's a powerful celebration of youth and rebellion.

Left early. Was not prepared to watch something about incest! It was disgusting & a total waste of time and money!

We left at Intermission. Songs unimpressive, singing not very good. Delivery of storyline was appaulling. These subjects worked well in the movie Precious because of timing and context. that did not happen in this play for me.

The show was unexpected and entertaining throughout. My friends and I were all over the place with out emotions which in my opinion makes the best kind of play. The singers were wonderful and although the stage was quite bare it worked seemlessly with the choreography.

Excellent Production. As far as regional adaptations go, this one is one of the best. I saw it twice - I would certainly recommend it. Be warned, it has strong subject matter. but very well done.
