Written on Jul 09 2012Event was great. But, I have to say that there were 2 little girls (I'd guess 3 and 5) who were dancing and prancing back and forth in front of the stage (didn't seem to bother singers or they just didn't say anything). It was terribly distracting. It turned out that a woman came over to them (we happened to be sitting behind this family-mother/father/w girls) and said that the girls were adorable, but they were a distraction to those watching the show. And, the parents did nothing to stop them from dancing, jumping up and down, etc. until the youngest girl said something or sang something (couldn't tell what she was doing-but loud enough for many people to hear) and then her mother went over to her and brought her back to the seats. Considering the show began at 9PM and this was going on well past 10:00, it was inappropriate for them to have them out this late, but more than that, it was selfish on their part to allow them to do what they were doing.
Written on Jul 09 2012First half was ok. There were several musicians who did a good job, a few others who were unprepared. It felt a bit like amateur night. We left during the second half because they just played rock as a group and that's not Guthrie. However, we were glad someone made the effort to remember Woody.
