An Evening with Martin Short: Comedy, Impressions and Song
- Full Price:
- $65.00
- Our Price:
- $32.50
Tony and Emmy-winner Martin Short appears live on stage in his acclaimed one-man show, demonstrating just a few of his copious talents -- stand-up comedy, impersonations, song and dance -- in an evening sure to entertain. Rumor has it that he may reprise some of his many classic characters, which include the delightfully odd Ed Grimley; the large and in-charge Jiminy Glick and elderly vaudeville songwriter Irving Cohen ("Gimme a C, a bouncy C.") Short's 40-year showbiz career includes television (SCTV, Saturday Night Live, Primetime Glick, and a dramatic role in Damages) and film (Three Amigos, Father of the Bride, Mars Attacks.) But he's also had success on stage, with roles in Little Me, The Goodbye Girl and The Producers. Short's solo performances are known to be long on laughs, so be prepared for a true party with Marty. Very cute and easy to follow. My 10 year old loved it. Wish it was a little longer though. It ran for only 45 minutes so the ending seemed rushed.Written on Feb 14 2012

The show was enjoyable, but I wish I knew it was only 45 minutes! I drove an hour each way, and would not have done it if I knew. My 11 year old granddaughter admitted to me on the way home that she did not understand the concept.Written on Feb 07 2012

The play, while it lasted was enjoyable enough but when they bowed when I thought we were heading into intermission,I felt robbed.Mostly of my time. The play had a very abrupt ending.Sleeping Beauty, now residing in modern times, just sings a "sure I'll miss MY Mother and Father, but Hey,I have a new one now" song and that's it.Ugh.Written on Feb 14 2012
