Loosely based on the lives of chess grandmasters Bobby Fischer and Anatoly Karpov, the rock opera plays out against the Cold War struggle between the United States and the Soviet Union, with each wanting to win international tournaments for purposes of propaganda. This play is a real tour de force of acting abilities. I still can't believe that Salieri and Mozart had so much script, and executed it so well. Mozart is a strong actor, with a very emotional part. The play is 2 hours and 45 minutes long, so...continued
