About the Ticket Supplier: Los Angeles Ballet
The debut of Los Angeles Ballet on December 2, 2006, was met with standing ovations and critical acclaim. "A Company is Born", declared LA Times dance critic Lewis Segal in his December 4, 2006 review. "... there's plenty of promise in the homegrown production by company artistic directors Thordal Christensen and Colleen Neary."
Los Angeles Ballet's original production of The Nutcracker reflects the city in which it is based. It introduced the first of many seasons of ballet made fresh, alluring, and entertaining. With choreography by Thordal Christensen and Colleen Neary and set design by LA designer and illustrator Catherine Kanner, the production is the first to honor the company's mission to establish an artistic collaboration that invites all genres to participate. Choreographers, composers, dancers, musicians, and set, costume and lighting designers, come together in Los Angeles Ballet for a new era of performing arts innovation.
World-class dance has come home to Los Angeles.
