A political comedy based on the novel An Unsocial Socialist by George Bernard Shaw, Smash tells the story of Sidney, an extremely wealthy socialist who bails on his bride on their big day because he needs to stay focused on his big plans to ... overthrow the British government. Eventually infiltrating a women's college, Sidney plans to take over the school while planting the potent seeds of radical socialism into the minds of these future companions of cabinet ministers and kings. But there are just a few things -- like love triangles, mistaken identities, Marx, pistols and proletariats -- standing in the way of Sidney's plans in this witty satire. Learn More

Very entertaining. The first ten minutes were pretty slow and left me discouraged that we'd come but as things moved along and the story developed with it's twists and interconnected confusions it was very engaging. The actors did a great job with the timing which is so critical in a comedy. Kudos to all the actors but particularly Joe who was just perfect for his role.

Delightful play in a small, intimate theater. A few audience members invited to participate as part of the experience. We were fortunate to attend a matinee with the director and cast participating in a Q/A panel after the performance.
The July 28th performance includes a post-show discussion with the director and cast.
