Broadway by the Bay brings the Tony-winning musical comedy Hairspray to the Fox Theatre in Redwood City. Based on the cult-classic John Waters film of the same name, Hairspray has had hit runs on Broadway and in London's West End, among others. Set in 1962 Baltimore, the show centers on one girl's quest to appear on (and then integrate) a local TV dance program, and sports tons of original '60s-style dance music and R&B, including "Good Morning Baltimore," "Without Love" and "You Can't Stop the Beat."

This was our first time to this theater and I will certainly come back. We thoroughly enjoyed the show, very professionally done!
My only complaint was that the seating wasn't great, the chairs needed to be offset more. I seemed to be seated directly behind a tall person.

A very good show. Certainly a good time. Well worth the price of the ticket.

This company always does such a great job; I think my expectations are too high.

Voices a bit hard to hear over orchestra at times.

Entire party definitely left in a happy mood!
