The latest incarnation of the popular Latin rock disco band Santa Esmerelda comes to the stage with its original lead singer Jimmy Goings and members of the touring band as Generation Esmerelda. The group tore up the charts in the '70s with disco remakes of the '60s hits "House of the Rising Sun" and "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood," which gained fame again when Quentin Tarantino chose it as part of the Kill Bill -- Volume 1 soundtrack. Now they're back with a great live Latin sound, complete with a four-piece horn section. Learn More
Quotes & Highlights
“Jazz is not dead, and as long as artists like Laura Karst are around, it won’t be a lost art either. If you fancy the old queens of jazz like Ella and Etta, or their modern counterparts, you will love Karst’s velvety voice.”
— Indie Music Reviewer Magazine
“She sings with a joyous abandon…. a story teller that has the innate ability to create a musical connection between herself and the audience… this is how you sing jazz!” — CriticalJazz.com
