A pair of bickering perfume shop employees don't realize that they're secretly and anonymously writing each other love letters in the sentimental musical comedy She Loves Me. This story of the cute but dull manager Georg and the spunky new clerk Amalia features music by Jerry Bock and lyrics by Sheldon Harnick -- the same pair that wrote the tunes for the Broadway classic Fiddler on the Roof. Produced on Broadway in 1963 and revived in 1993, the story is adapted from the play Parfumerie by Hungarian playwright Miklos Laszlo, which served as the inspiration for the films The Shop Around the Corner and You've Got Mail. I saw this last year at Arts West with a different group of actors, and it was terrific. This production was terrible! They couldn't harmonize (especially the actor "Jinx", and there were painful periods where they all seemed unsure of what to do next. Save your money...have a nap...you'll be better entertained.

The Forever Plaid four-part harmony group returns thanks to a heavenly phone call from Rosemary Clooney! The heaven-sent boys (Sparky, Smudge, Jinx, and Frankie) are back to sing songs of the '30s, '40s, '50s, and a “Plaid-erized” version of Christmas specials to fulfill their mission of creating a little holiday harmony in a troubled world. Includes a hilarious tribute to the Ed Sullivan Christmas Spectaculars featuring the Rockettes, the Chipmunks, The Vienna Boys Choir and more!
