DUPAC gets its season going with a double bill starring a pair of acclaimed singer-songwriters. Known for his humorous and revealing autobiographical folk songs -- like his popular "Dead Skunk," Loudon Wainwright III is a cult fave who's released more than 20 albums and been covered by artists like Johnny Cash and Earl Scruggs. Nominated three times, he won the Grammy in 2010 for his album High Wide & Handsome. You might also recognize him for his acting work with Judd Apatow, appearing in that director's Knocked Up and Undeclared, among other projects. Folk pop star Dar Williams broke out of the Boston-New York coffeehouse scene with her first full-length disc, The Honesty Room, in the mid-'90s and never looked back. She's since released close to a dozen more albums, including 2012's In the Time of the Gods, said to have been inspired by Greek mythology.

Too much talking by Dar Williams. And Loudon should have done at least a few bars of "Dead Skunk." A lot of fans in the audience.

If you've never seen Dar in concert, you're missing out! Loudain was funny and a great performer too. Great show.
