Treat the whole family to the annual Rockville tradition of Rockville Civic Ballet's delightful production of this famed holiday favorite. Directed by Claudia Mangan and set to Tchaikovsky's timeless score, this glittering tale follows young Clara, who receives the gift of a nutcracker at her parents' Victorian Christmas party. That night she dreams of a grand adventure that begins with a handsome prince, continues with an epic battle between mice and toys, and comes to a climax with a magical journey to the Land of Sweets to meet the Sugar Plum Fairy. Play was fine. Theater AC was not working on the hottest day on record! We should have been warned and offererd a refund. It was a totally uncomfortable and awful experience. My kids who like Broadway plays hated this one most likely due to the theater heat. I think Goldstar should take some responsibility for this and offer a refund!

It was better than we expected. They are almost 20 performer. None of them forget their line. They dance and sing to entertain us for almost 2.5 hr. For $13.5 dollars, it is a good deal. Also, it is a small theater. All seats are good seat.
