Pianist Joyce Yang Performs Scarlatti, Debussy and Rachmaninoff
A dynamic young artist, Joyce Yang has been heralded as the most gifted pianist of her generation. The Juilliard graduate has been playing since the age of four, and won international renown as the youngest competitor and silver medalist at the 2005 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. Yang made her professional debut with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra in 2009, playing Rachmaninoff's Second. Now at age 27, her innovative solo recitals and performances with the world's top orchestras have earned her critical accolades. This solo program will feature works by Scarlatti, Debussy and Rachmaninoff.
