OK, I usually love going to stand up comedy events. Sometimes the opener is funnier than the headliner. In this case- they both sucked. The comedian right before Jay Phillips was drunk as hell. Forgot his routine and almost fell off the stage when he exited the stage (prob just should have fell because that would have been the funniest moment of the night). Jay was not funny, a lot of dead air, "why is everyone looking at me expecting me to tell them something?" - ummm.. prob because you are the comedian on stage??? I am just glad that I didnt pay full price because that would have been a travesty.
I love Goldstar but did not enjoy this event at all!

Jay was absolutely great! I would rate his performance 5 STARS without hesitation. His counterparts(the host and the other performer whose name I don't remember) wouldn't get more than 2 STARS. If it wouldn't be for JAY and all the positive energy and laughs that he brought to the stage, I would've left completely disappointed. He's saved the show that was spoiled by one of his co-actors(Shawn? Sean? Shon?), whose VERY dark sense of humor didn't entertain me at all.
Jay is a great actor, he feels his audience, he is sharp and funny, yet not offensive. He touches on a sensitive subjects just like any other comedian would, yet he makes it tasteful.
Thank you, Jay! Again, you've made my evening and I was very glad I didn't leave.
